Prada

The Prada Menswear Spring/Summer 2014 campaign presents Annie Leibovitz's first collaboration with Prada. The campaign is an intimate character study of actor, Dane DeHaan. Against the backdrop of the celebrated portraitist's studio, his presence is subtly captivating. The timeless space with its earth-coloured walls and aged wooden floors provides a realist counterpoint to the twisted paradise of the Spring/Summer collection. With a disarming composure DeHaan sits, hands in pockets, thighs crossed, hand behind his head. Jewel-coloured suit jackets and floral-printed shirts are worn with casual elegance.

Prada Menswear Spring/Summer 2014 Campaign

Annie Leibovitz’s first collaboration with Prada is an intimate character study of actor, Dane DeHaan. Vivid turns in the cult film Chronicle, HBO drama In Treatment, Derek CianFrance’s The Place Beyond the Pines, John Hillcoat’s Lawless and beat-era drama Kill Your Darlings have marked DeHaan as the leading man to watch. DeHaan will next be seen portraying Harry Osborn in The Amazing Spider- Man 2. Against the backdrop of the celebrated portraitist’s studio, his presence is subtly captivating.

The timeless space with its earth-coloured walls and aged wooden floors provides a realist counterpoint to the twisted paradise of the Spring/Summer collection. Leibovitz’s mythmaking factory has witnessed the making of some of the most recognized celebrity portraits of all time, and the images are infused with its history. With a disarming composure DeHaan sits, hands in pockets, thighs crossed, hand behind his head. Jewel-coloured suit jackets and floral-printed shirts are worn with casual elegance. DeHaan’s penetrating persona is further revealed in an eyewear campaign: a sequence of instinctive portraits loaded with personality and authenticity.
A behind-the-scenes film will premiere on www.prada.com

Campagna Prada Uomo Primavera/Estate 2014

Prada Womenswear Spring/Summer 2014 Campaign

Steven Meisel’s Spring/Summer 2014 campaign for Prada reflects the fierce and independent spirit of the collection. Teams of models hold us in their collective gaze, looking forward in a united vision. Dresses, coats and accessories come alive with giant mural prints of female faces, layering contrasting dimensions of femininity. The walls of the Via Fogazzaro show space in Milan were similarly transformed, emblazoned with ‘In the Art of the Multitude’ – a contemporary muralists’ and illustrators’ vision of female representation, power and multiplicity. Identikit glossy side partings are crowned with feathered headpieces, and sporty tube socks encrusted with candy-like crystals. Handbags are ladylike in the extreme, in glossy crocodile, studs, and saffiano leather. Striped sporty detailing at necklines and busts emphasizes the feeling of team photographs, but then the scale is magnified, the cropped images accentuating detail in the frame. The effect is a surreal wallpaper of textures, colours, and the luxurious detail of the clothing. Glowing with independent truth, a youthful idealism and aggressive optimism unites this modern feminine troupe. The models are Julia Bergshoeff, Dorota Kullova, Ashleigh Good, Gracie Van Gastel, Amanda Murphy, Viktor Van Pelt, Maggie Jablonski, Lieke Van Houten, Maja Salamon, Ola Rudnicka, Sabrina Ioffreda, Magdalena Jasek, Nastya Sten, Cindy Bruna, Anna Ewers, Ophelie Guillermand, Malaike Firth and Lexi Bolling.

A video campaign will premiere soon on www.prada.com

Campagna Prada Donna Primavera/Estate 2014

Le modelle ritratte sono Julia Bergshoeff, Dorota Kullova, Ashleigh Good, Gracie Van Gastel, Amanda Murphy, Viktor Van Pelt, Maggie Jablonski, Lieke Van Houten, Maja Salamon, Ola Rudnicka, Sabrina Ioffreda, Magdalena Jasek, Nastya Sten, Cindy Bruna, Anna Ewers, Ophelie Guillermand, Malaike Firth e Lexi Bolling.

RICHARD CHAI

Richard Chai, a New York native, began his career in fashion at an early age with a prestigious internship at Geoffrey Beene as an undergraduate at Parsons School of Design. Upon graduation from Parsons, Chai continued his studies at the Lissa School in Paris, while working as a sketcher at Lanvin. Returning to New York one year later, Chai continued to gain experience with several prestigious brands including Armani Exchange, Donna Karan, and Marc Jacobs. In September 2001, Chai was appointed Creative Design Director of all TSE brands, including men's, women's and TSE Say, marking the first time in the company's history that a single person oversaw all brands.

Through his experiences at some of the world's most influential fashion houses, Chai developed a keen eye for detail, a reverence for architectural design elements, and a strong belief in the importance and value of the construction of clothes, leading him to launch his namesake brand in September 2004. He debuted his women’s collection for Spring 2005 in a formal runway presentation that was well received for its understated, yet sophisticated elegance. In 2008 Richard Chai was selected as a CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards finalist for womenswear.

In June 2008 for Spring 2009, Richard Chai launched his eponymous menswear collection with a presentation during Paris Fashion Week. As with his womenswear, Chai takes an architectural approach with his menswear. Design signatures such as arced seams, intriguing fabric treatments and eclectic color palettes lend a distinctly modern flair while keeping in tune with the classic heritage of old world tailoring and craftsmanship.

In September 2009, the designer debuted a new contemporary-priced women’s collection called Richard Chai – LOVE for Spring 2010. Considered the female counterpart to his menswear label LOVE parallels his men’s line both in its accessible price and in its aesthetic of uniform-inspired classics refined with a modern, yet youthful sensibility.

Designed and operated in New York, Richard Chai and Richard LOVE are distributed at such retailers as Saks Fifth Avenue, Odin New York, and Pas De Deux in New York. In June 2010, Richard Chai was named Swarovski Menswear Designer of the Year at the 2010 CFDA Fashion Awards and a finalist for GQ/CFDA’s Best New Men’s Designer in America.

For Spring/Summer 2014 Richard Chai takes inspiration from geometric shapes, executing them in a way that feels soft and fluid. Unexpected combinations of contrasting elements are thoughtfully translated to emphasize a sense of interplay and juxtaposition, while maintaining Chai's signature sophisticated design aesthetic. The runway show also debuted select styles of leather jackets from the new Andrew Marc x Richard Chai collaboration.
