Bally Boulevard des Capucines Re-Opens

Bally is pleased to announce the re-opening of its newly refurbished Paris boutique on the Boulevard des Capucines. Located on the edge of the prestigious “Triangle d'Or”, it’s an historic spot for Bally given that the Swiss brand has occupied the same space since the 1920s.
Together with the Bally makeover, unveiled on December 14, the Boulevard des Capucines itself is undergoing a transformation with the recent arrival of a number of luxury jewellery and watch brands on the Boulevard.
The re-configured space spans two floors, totals 244 sqm and houses the watch brandsmen’s and women’s collection of shoes, bags, accessories, leather goods and ready-to-wear. Soothing, intimate and comfortable in ambience, the store features include multimedia screens, soft lighting, Italian marble floors and pure wool carpets. Some of the walls and shelving are lined with alcantara, while comfortable leather seating comes rectangular and brown for men or white and circular for women. Considered design features such as these subtly help delineate between collections for men and women. On the ground floor, men’s leather goods and small accessories sit on one side of the store. In contrast, the wall opposite featuring women’s handbags has a different, distinctive textured plaster finish. It’s a configuration that is echoed on the second floor that houses women’s and men’s ready to-wear and shoes.
Another pivotal feature of the second floor is a freestanding salon located between the men and women’s collections that is specially dedicated to Scribe, Bally’s heritage men’s made-to-order collection. Here, customers are encouraged to sit and take their time choosing style, sole, colour and material on precision made personalised shoes that take approximately eight weeks to produce. The location of the salon here is of particular significance given that the Hotel Scribe on Rue Scribe, from where the collection takes its name, can be seen directly opposite.

About Bally:
Innovation. Functionality. Elegance. Since 1851, those three principles have symbolised the enduring
pioneer spirit of founder Carl Franz Bally – an ethos that continues to imbue this uniquely Swiss brand with its visionary commitment to cutting-edge techniques and world-class craftsmanship. Over 160 years after Bally was founded, leather remains its medium and inspiration; a fine natural material that serves both functionality and creativity. In 1976, Bally extended its shoe collections to include
handbags, leather accessories and outstanding ready-to-wear pieces, with every product testament to
Bally’s passion for perfection: the punctuation of a brogue; the soft touch of a bag’s leather; the classic silhouette of a sartorial jacket; the elegant contour of a Bally heel. Today, as part of the LABELUX Group, a leading player in the international luxury market, Bally is one of the world’s most enduringand unique luxury shoe and leather brands.

ANIMAL HOUSE

“ANIMAL HOUSE” | Limited Edition
MARNI | SALONE DEL MOBILE 2014

On the occasion of the Salone del Mobile 2014 the installation Animal House will come alive at Viale Umbria 42. A festive caravansary of Marni, where giraffes, ostriches, rabbits, ducks, donkeys and flamingos, made of metal and bright colored PVC, will take over the space, joining the products of the new limited edition charity project.

Marni has collaborated with a group of Colombian women to create new handmade pieces where each one is unique, but tailored in different colors. Asymmetry, the leitmotif of this year’s project, generates spatial figures, potentially infinite through the use of multiple shapes. Traditional chairs with two armrests are pulled together with one armrest styles, set either on the left or the right side, and with small benches, allowing different compositions. Tables can be grouped together too. Chaise longues and rocking chairs complete the collection.
The freedom of choosing different compositions, characteristic of this limited edition, is reflected in all Marni ready-to-wear and accessories collections, where every combination is individual and unique. The idea of summing up with no limits reflects a positive outlook, a continuous growth and evolution of the brand that will celebrate its 20th anniversary this year.

During Salone del Mobile, the new issue of Marni’s online magazine - ANTICAMERA - will be entirely dedicated to Animal House, narrating the stories of the women that have contributed to the project.

Like in the previous editions, Animal House has also been made in Colombia. This year’s limited edition was handcrafted by women, who gained independence and emancipation through their work. The collaboration reaffirms Marni’s commitment to charity initiatives: part of the revenues will be donated to associations helping terminally ill children.

TIFFANY & CO.

In need of some inspiration for Mother's Day?

Tiffany & Co. presents new Atlas® jewelry with the striking beauty that made this celebrated design a fashion icon. The latest options trace the collection’s signature Roman numerals in designs symbolic of strength and freedom. These creations distill style to its very essence; each is bold enough to stand on its own, yet graceful and uncomplicated enough to stack and layer, so that every wearer can tell their own unique story.
The versatility of Atlas® is achieved with graphic elements of utmost integrity that allows them to be shaped into a crisp pattern as distinctive as its inspiration: the Atlas clock that presides over Tiffany’s Fifth Avenue store, located at the crossroads of energy and evolution in the heart of New York City. This elegant pattern shines in new bangles, medallion pendants and band rings, as well as wide cuffs in a weave of numerals. Crafted in 18 karat yellow, white or rose gold, as well as sterling silver, the jewelry generates a sensuous play of light that casts a luster over dressing day and night.
Every variation on the theme reflects a tradition of excellence that over the past 177 years has made Tiffany & Co. an international house of design. TIFFANY & CO.
