PHILIPP PLEIN OPENING IN BEVERLY HILLS
 
Designer Philipp Plein is in the midst of a dynamic expansion plan in the United States.  Following  the 2013 NYC showroom and Miami boutique openings and the  September 2014 inauguration of the New York City flagship on Madison Avenue, the brand will celebrate the opening of the Beverly Hills boutique on October 27th 2014, the third flagship in the United States and the 38th worldwide.
The 140 square meter , bi-level  flagship  is located on Beverly Hills’ famed  Rodeo Drive, renowned for luxury shopping.  For this important milestone  the designer sustains the new minimal-luxury concept already unveiled at the New York boutique  with emphasis on the hexagonal logo of the PP brand.  Customers are welcomed at the entrance by the trademark giant skull   studded in jet white CRYSTALLIZED™ - Swarovski Elements.  Illuminated hexagonal elements in polished steel adorn the  essential and contemporary atmosphere and become  the identifying architectural image of the brand.  The store interior features rhythms and repetitions of the hexagon, from illuminated display shelves to an impressive ceiling overlaid with  a geometric grill of polished steel.  The elegance of black and white stone is featured throughout the store, giving a feeling of strength and sophistication.  Accented by luxurious materials including crocodile embossed leather, the space is dominated by a stunning custom made Murano smoked glass chandelier.

Designer Philipp Plein states:  “I visited the United States with my family  when I was fifteen, and was captivated by its pioneer spirit. Today America is my new frontier and Los Angeles is my dream city.  I am always struck by the L.A. lifestyle that focuses so strongly on aesthetics, glamour and having fun, the same basic elements that make up every collection I design.  I would love to live here if it were not so far from my headquarters.  Hopefully one day I will.”

Women’s Fall/Winter 2014/2015 Fashion Show


  
Milan, 23 February 2014. As the stage lights up, a customized black matte Chevrolet El Camino appears at a vintage gas station. The car door opens and British actress/pop star Rita Ora descends , decked out in studs and cowboy hat , and gives a high voltage performance kicking off the PHILIPP PLEIN women’s fall/winter 2014/2015 fashion show.
 
Legendary super model and international celebrity Naomi Campbell appears on the catwalk to introduce the new collection, Philipp Plein’s personal homage to the American Dream. A grand finale of fireworks that engulf the El Camino, followed by a huge explosion on the mega led screen mark the end of the show in grandiose Texan style.
“I visited Dallas with my family when I was fifteen, and was captivated by its pioneer spirit. Today America is my new frontier. I designed this collection looking west. Using precious fabrics and sophisticated skins like hand brushed, gold flecked python, not to mention strong denim pieces inspired by the American Dream. I created ultra- feminine dresses adorned with tartan flounces and veils in contrast with voluptuous limited edition evening silhouettes embellished with delicate leather paillettes. Black & gold dominate the collection alternating with houndstooth, mink and chinchilla for dramatic effect.”
Following the inauguration of the New York showroom and the Miami boutique in 2013, PHILIPP PLEIN will continue the US expansion in 2014, opening flagship stores in Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco.

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim Miami

South Beach will once again come alive this July, as the swimwear industry’s most highly anticipated event returns for the ninth year. Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim will heat up the sands of The Raleigh Hotel with five days of designer runway shows, presentations and parties on July 18-22, 2013. IMG Fashion announced today the preliminary list of designers who will be presenting their latest Collections.
Commencing the week will be a special Kick-Off Event celebrating 25 years of ROXY with ROXY Pop Surf. The Raleigh pool deck will transform into a surf oasis, as the iconic brand celebrates 25 years as an industry leader.
