Babajaan

Babajaan
was created in 2008 by Sandra Moleirinho in London. Sandra has spent the last 10 years travelling the world whilst working within the fashion industry. Drawing from these travel experiences, she has created a gorgeous collection that reflects her own rich Brazilian cultural heritage mixed with a European elegance and sensibility.

‘As a young girl I used to spend almost of my weekends at our beach house, and it is true those weekends were amazing, we were always going to the beach, we were windsurfing, sailing; the swimwear becomes such an important part of your wardrobe because you wear it all the time, it becomes your daywear.
Sandra Moleirinho

Babajaan is inspired by an idiosyncratic melting pot of exotic influences launched into the world as a luxury Resort collection, consisting of decadent Kaftans and glamorous swimwear shapes, to be worn with sophisticated signature Panama hats.

Babajaan swimwear is made in Italy and pieces are sold separately in all colours and prints. The luxury details of the hardware and fabric give a sophisticated design to the Babajaan collection that is adored by clients. Stockists include Net-a-Porter.com, Scoop, Harvey Nichols UK Group, Barneys Japan, The One & Only Resorts in Maldives, Mauritius, Palmilla in Mexico, The Pink House in Mustique, Indigo Resorts in Jeddah, boutiques in Milan such as Gio Moretti, Paris, Niourlago St Tropez, Passerella Capri, Rome, Corsica, St Barts, Sardinia, New York, Tokyo, Riyadh, Bahrain, Athens, Mikonos, Germany, Kuwait, Egypt.

Developed and designed in London, the collection is made with luxury fabrics such as beautiful silk georgette, silk chiffon, prime cotton and silk voile.
The dresses are available in 3 lengths with beautiful and unique types of embroideries exclusive to Babajaan.
The special treatment given to many of the fabrics allows for homecare, which means most of the luxury styles are handwashable, taking out the inconvenience of the dry cleaning.

All hats are developed in London and handmade in Ecuador, the home of the Panama Hat. Babajaan hats come in 24 styles in different colours and special weaves. All panama hats carry a touch of the collection, given a twist to their classical shape through colours, weave techniques and special luxury details, which when worn separately or together with the swimwear and the beachwear give a complete glamorous look.
