PRADA OPENS A NEW STORE IN SEOUL

DEDICATEDTO THE MEN’S COLLECTIONS

 

Milano, July 2nd 2013 - Prada opens a new store in Seoul, South Korea, inside the Hyundai Coex department store. Designed by architect Roberto Baciocchi, the boutique of approximately 190 square meters on one level is entirely dedicated to men’s ready-to-wear, footwear, bags and accessories.

The storefront, inside the mall, is made of brown Saint Laurent marble and the store's entrance, windows and light boxes - embellished by polished steel profiles - are arranged in a unique geometry of full and empty volumes.

The store is characterized by precious displays and counters in crystal and palladium metal, along with ebony wood floors and walls. The atmosphere recalls that of a typical men’s wardrobe with light cotto coloured sofas and chocolate coloured carpet.

Milano, 2 luglio 2013 – Prada inaugura un nuovo negozio a Seoul, Corea del Sud, all’interno dello Hyundai Coex department store. Progettato dall’architetto Roberto Baciocchi, lo spazio occupa una superficie totale di circa 190 metri quadrati su un unico livello ed ‘e interamente dedicato alle collezioni maschili di abbigliamento, calzature, pelletteria e accessori.

La facciata interna al mall ‘e definita da un rivestimento in marmo marrone Saint Laurent in cui l’ingresso, le vetrine e i light-box, arricchiti da profili in metallo palladio, compongono una particolare geometria di volumi pieni e vuoti.
Lo spazio interno ‘e contraddistinto da preziose teche e banchi in cristallo e metallo palladio, e da pareti e pavimenti in legno di ebano. Completano l’atmosfera tipica di un elegante guardaroba maschile, il divano in pelle color cotto chiaro e il tappeto in moquette testa di moro.

CONCEPT KOREA
Concept Korea is a collaborative project to promote Korean fashion designers and assist them in their attempts to break into the U.S. fashion market.  Concept Korea is organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea, the Daegu Metropolitan City, the Korea Creative Contents Agency, and the Korea Research Institute for Fashion Industry.  Concept Korea began in the spring of 2010, and this F/W 2013 season marks the organization’s seventh time showing at New York Fashion Week.  www.conceptkorea.org
Concept Korea returned to Lincoln Center on February 7th, 2013 to show the Fall/Winter 2013 collections. A proven talent platform, Concept Korea sent the best of Korean design down the runway this season. CHOIBOKO by Choi Bo Ko, CRES. E DIM. By Hongbum Kim, KYE by Kathleen Kye, LIE SANG BONG by Lie Sang Bong and SON JUNG WAN by Son Jung Wan –- round out Concept Korea’s most talent group yet, and is set to take the US market by storm.
This theme of this season’s runway show was Rhythm of Korea.” The Stage came alive with a fusion of traditional Korea music that represents the spirit of Seoul. Notable attendees include: PATRICIA FIELD, FERN MALLIS, PHILLIP BLOCH, NEON HITCH and ANGELA SIMMONS. Makeup was done by Cheyenne at Top 5 Management using Pür Minerals and Beautyblender, and hair by Kate Hanley using T3micro.
