MELISSA x KARL LAGERFELD COLLABORATION – NEW YORK MARCH 27,th 2013
Last night, Karl Lagerfeld celebrated the launch
of his new collaboration with Brazilian plastic shoe brand, Melissa, by hosting
a special cocktail party at the brand’s SoHo shop, Galeria Melissa (102 Greene
Street). The store was transformed into an exhibition showcasing a
collection of large-scale photographs entitled ‘melissamania,’ taken by Mr.
Lagerfeld of his muse, model Cara Delevingne. Guests were invited to
experience the collection of photographs and the new shoes while sipping
Tattinger champagne and Brazilian cocktails. The event was livestreamed
on the Karl Lagerfeld website as well as Melissa social media channels. The
Mishapes DJ-ed. VIP guests included Karl Lagerfeld, Constance Jablonski, Brad
Kroenig, Jeisa Chiminazzo, Leigh Lezark, Geordan Nichol, Harry Brant and Dani
Stahl.
Dinner:
Last night, Karl Lagerfeld hosted a private dinner with Brazilian
plastic shoe brand, Melissa, to celebrate their new collaboration, MELISSA x
KARL. The dinner was held at EN Japanese Brasserie in New York City,
where guests sipped Tattinger champagne and dined on sashimi and sushi, while
Schlomo DJ-ed. VIP guests included Karl Lagerfeld, Cara Delevinge, Karlie
Kloss, Andre Leon Talley, Kelly Rutherford, Ingrid Sischy, Sandra Brant, Carine
Roitfeld, Arianna Huffington, Karolina Kurkova, Alina Cho, Hilary Rhoda, Toni
