Pour la saison Automne-Hiver 2014/15, Simona Barbieri lance une nouvelle ligne du nom de TEN : la dixième de la griffe, une sorte de retour aux origines. Recherche et déstructuration, inspiration et renouveau, sobriété et spontanéité : une nouvelle capsule collection qui part de la définition du postmoderne pour décrire une approche créative du style et des tendances.

La maille redevient protagoniste : des mailles en cachemire, douces et enveloppantes, sont proposées dans une vaste gamme de formes et de couleurs. Un petit cœur cousu ton sur ton joue le rôle de fil rouge de la collection et apporte une note romantique pleine de chaleur.

 

Le passé et la tradition sont désacralisés pour arriver à de nouvelles expressions, constamment renouvelées. Du ras du cou super classique au twin-set, des robes aux pulls asymétriques : la palette des couleurs parle d'un voyage suggestif où les codes de l'élégance sont revisités pour donner un nouvel élan avec des mélanges recherchés qui vont du turquoise brillant au rouge cardinal, du rose pop au ton neutre de la noisette. Une douceur enveloppante signée Simona Barbieri !

UN TRÉSOR PRÊT-À-PORTER

Colliers et boucles d'oreilles coordonnés, colliers avec pendentif, maxi chevalières et broches qui semblent tout droit sorties d'un élégant coffret à bijoux vintage, sont parfaits pour apporter à un look de jour basique l'allure sophistiquée et contemporaine, aujourd'hui très tendance. On peut les mélanger et jouer à l'infini, en les associant à des looks masculins, comme un jean boyfriend ou une chemise oxford, ou encore les laisser scintiller de mille feux sur un T-shirt blanc. De fabrication artisanale, rehaussés de jais en verre ou de cristaux sertis, ils capturent la lumière et l'attention et peuvent être portés dans un esprit tantôt sophistiqué, tantôt plus cool. Les broches, à la grâce intemporelle, leurs cristaux transparents et leurs tons vieillis, personnalisent le pull en cachemire classique signé United Colors of Benetton, donnent de la personnalité à une écharpe moelleuse, et brillent d'une élégance distinguée sur le revers d'un petit manteau ou d'un blazer. Individuality and eclecticism. Different worlds that merge and collide. The richness of diversity that is integral to the Marni aesthetic runs through the Resort 2015 collection. Sport and couture, the dynamism of short, geometric shapes and painterly flower prints, density and lightness are woven together with distinctive ease and a strong graphic touch.

 

A spontaneous energy charges the outfits, conveying an idea of luxurious athleticism. The silhouette is effortless, neat, fast. Geometric intarsia characterize the short dresses, the zip-up polo tops worn with a-line minis, the coat-dresses and leather pieces. Blooming motifs have a textural appeal: dense jacquards run on blousons and bermudas; bonded appliqué flowers decorate leather shifts. Colorful regatta stripes run rhythmically, further highlighting the sophisticated yet sporty feel: on crew neck tops with asymmetric hems matched with chiffon skirts creating layered, airy shadows; along the sides of wide trousers. The stress on firmness is balanced by a quest for softness: crepe de chine or chiffon tops worn with matching skirts are finished with crochet; long printed dresses or polo tunics paired with slim trousers have a fluid ease. Sculptural ruffles and embroideries decorate the agonistic short dresses.

 

The color palette is dense and personal: tones of rust, deep purple, deep green, aqua, and then cream, white and black with accents of primary brights. Fabric alternate compact firmness with impalpable airiness: bonded printed raffia, couture cotton, jacquard silk, bonded leather, cady, silk crepe, silk chiffon. Exotic flower prints and geometric motifs have a gestural quality:  Mokara orchids, fosteriana branches, big moonflowers alternate with bold stripes and intricate brushstrokes.

 

The collision of sport and couture also characterizes the accessories: technical running shoes closed with velcro straps, patent intarsia flats and hi-heels, fussbett sandals and kabuki-soled flats with fringes. Bags are small and structured or capacious and soft: the iconic Trunk is presented in opaque leather, while the Pod and City bags are interpreted in luxurious plain skins or geometric intarsia. Bijou have geometric shapes highlighted by resin rhinestones. Leather or resin layers draw shapes of flowers on necklaces and broaches. Vibrant energy. A loose, natural attitude: upbeat, neat, fast. The Marni Men collection for s/s 15 continues taking elements from different worlds - sport, utility, tailoring - dissecting and assembling them in a graphic yet spontaneous language. It builds a wardrobe suited to the needs and demands of the contemporary urban wanderer. Forms have the bold assertiveness and the raw perfection of brutalist architecture; suiting and sports merge and morph, seamlessly, creating utilitarian pieces of clothing. The accent on precision puts the focus on texture and color, defining a balance that is slightly askew, dynamic.

 

The silhouette is loose yet controlled, with an airy sense of firmness. Light wool suits are worn under oversized dusters, rolled sleeves and contrasting nuances creating a play of juxtapositions. Reversible sports blazers paired with shorts match function with ease. The iconic elements of the masculine wardrobe are distilled to their essence and then remixed with a geometric sensibility that is quintessentially Marni. The zip-up blouson, the bomber jacket, the collarless shirt-jacket, the short-sleeved shirt are addends of layerings and permutations, the sum of elements highlighted by the bold color combination. Suits have compact jackets and long lean trousers. Prints recur as an assertive element on bonded sweatshirts, shirts and trousers both highlighting and deconstructing the architectural precision of the cuts. Inside-out construction have nonchalance.

 

The dense color palette is rich in unexpected mixtures: tones of inky blue, deep green, grey, black and beige are accented with dashes of deep red, pale yellow, rust. Prints have a gestural quality: scribbles, geometries, stripes and inky flowers. Fabrics are light and airy, yet firm: suiting wools, bonded jersey, parachute cotton.

 

The graphic tone of the collection carries on in the accessories. Functional card and phone cases are worn around the neck adding another element of color and shape. Marni's classic backpack is reimagined with another colorful play. Sandals with bold color and material mixes are a light-hearted addition to the silhouette. Canvas sneakers have rubber toe caps sliced into graphic bands.
