VIEWERS GET “ALL ACCESS” TO
THE RUNWAY AND BACKSTAGE FOR MICHAEL KORS FALL ’14 RUNWAY SHOW
NEW YORK February 5, 2014 — Michael Kors is pleased to announce the launch of its microsite ALL ACCESS KORS in anticipation of the Fall 2014 runway show. The popular and continually evolving immersive digital viewing experience will offer viewers a front-row seat as well as behind-the-scenes access to the show, to be held at Spring Studios in New York City on February 12 at 10 AM (EST).
“A fashion show is a unique and exhilarating event that everyone should be able to experience,” says Kors. “I am beyond excited to share my show—along with the energy of the models, the music, and the excitement of the crowd—with people all over the world.”
The live stream, also viewable on mobile and tablet devices, will begin at 10 AM (EST). Leading up to the show day, users can “RSVP” on live.michaelkors.com, adding an event reminder to their personal digital calendars. On the morning of the show, live footage from within the studio will begin streaming to the site at 9:30 AM (EST). Viewers will be able to get an inside sneak peek backstage at models—from hair and makeup to walking onto the runway.
To integrate the brand’s industry-leading social followings on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, live feeds will be incorporated directly into the microsite’s interface, allowing users to share show-relevant content in real time. Comments, images and videos will be aggregated using the tags #AllAccessKors and #MichaelKors. Following the show, exclusive editorial content—including a collection recap from Kors’ perspective and a behind-the-scenes look at the preparation for the show—will go live on the brand’s lifestyle site, DestinationKors.com.
