Maya Wool

ToyWatch: Maya Wool

ToyWatch presents a new version of its Maya collection, Maya Wool, which draws its inspiration from textile embroidery arts, and is characterised by a hand-woven strap made from wool, featuring a mix of colours that evoke the lands, cultures and customs of the peoples of Central and South America.

Stylish and ethno-chic, the Maya Wool collection by ToyWatch is born of the fusion of cosmopolitan cues of various origins; a refined dial of essential, delicate design, harking back to the 1930s, is mated to the handmade weave pattern of the strap, giving rise to a fashion accessory which is both exotic and current at the same time.

Maya Wool watches have either a gilded steel case combined with a white or champagne coloured dial, or a silver plated case combined with a ton-sur-ton dial and grey & blue strap. A symbol engraved on the back of the case represents the Sun Stone, the famous calendar where the Maya marked the turning points in human history: a good wish for those who want to address the apocalyptic prophesies with amusement and positive thinking.

Obtained by interlacing wool threads, the straps reveal tiny imperfections and small differences, in their colours and geometric patterns, which make them into one-of-a-kind, unique pieces.

Two braids hanging from the end enrich the strap of the Maya Wool: not just a watch, but rather an accessory to be combined with different looks and worn in a personal, creative manner.
