Ranjana Khan

Growing up in Bombay, Ranjana Khan's obsession with beautiful embellishments began at an early age. At 17, Ranjana became a fashion model, traveling the world and expanding her creative vision in the process. For the last ten years, she has worked as a creative collaborator to many of the world's greatest couturiers and fashion designers—from Jean-Paul Gaultier to Alber Elbaz— providing concepts, techniques, and inspiration to achieve intricately detailed pieces executed in surprising ways.

With her eponymous collection, Ranjana challenges the entire idea of what jewelry can and cannot be. She mixes hard and soft, applying disparate elements in striking combinations that often convey an emotion or tell a story. Ranjana approaches each season as a unique, creative journey that ultimately yields her inventive and eclectic creations. The resulting designs are both new and timeless, intended to be worn, cherished, and passed on for generations to come.

None other than New York designer Karim Rashid is behind the interior design of the nhow Berlin. His visionary style strikes a perfect chord with the building’s exterior, designed by star architect Sergei Tchoban - making the nhow Berlin one of the capital’s modern architectural and design highlights.
Karim Rashid’s vision is a radical design movement, whose core principle is to break with old ways of seeing and living, and thereby to create a world free of nostalgia. Fresh colours, rounded forms and clear lines create spaces that are much more than simply four walls and a ceiling. The design of the nhow Berlin is a manifestation of a philosophy that allows guests to enter another world for the duration of their stay. A trip to Berlin turns into a sojourn in a new dimension - a positive experience that takes you to the edge. In this ambience, the inspiration of the nhow Berlin becomes tangible
Perfectly composed chords combining aesthetic harmony and continuous stimulation of the senses change our perception of ourselves and everything around us. Everything seems more intense, making this electrifying atmosphere the ideal breeding ground for creative energy. Words and images cannot do justice to something that needs to be experienced first-hand - because great design begins at the point where language has reached its limit.

ToyWatch: Maya Collection

The colours and exotic images of Central America, the birthplace of the first Pre-Columbian civilisation, have led to the creation of the new collection from ToyWatch: Maya, watches inspired by the textile embroidery art of the Mexican and South American peoples

A hand-woven strap, which can be fastened as required, characterised by two different sides that permit two different variants, a gilded case with a white and champagne dial and a unique back which emphasises the unique nature of the entire collection, featuring an engraved Symbol of the Sunstone, make ToyWatch’s Maya a real fashion accessory, a special and very trendy object for summer 2012.

Maya watches are available in four colours, the same ones the Mexican people used in their famous frescoes and pottery: tones of blue, like their beautiful sea, shades of green to recall the luxuriant Rain Forest, warm and enveloping hues of brown, representing the native earth, and lastly, purple, symbol of mystery, a typical characteristic underlying Mayan culture.
The 40-mm steel case has time only Japan movement and is waterproof up to 3 ATM.
