Ellen Conde

SPIRITO SIBERIANO MADE IN ITALY
BELLEZZA AUDACE

attraverso accenti sofisticati e contraddittori.
Ellen Conde,
Dedicated to every kind of Woman.

VISIONI POETICHE
INCONTRANO LA DISCIPLINA CONTEMPORANEA

Ellen Conde ricerca e scopre materia creativa in tutto e dappertutto.

in forme inaspettate, originali e contemporanee.
Questo è il mondo di Ellen Conde,
benvenuti.

Jay Godfrey

Jay Godfrey Presented Spring 2015 Collection at

The HUB at Hudson Hotel

Electric West: Tea stained ivory lace, suede fringe, stretch denim, and  embellished fabrics comprise Jay Godfrey’s Spring 2015 collection which depicts an alluring take on western Americana.
Jay Godfrey evolves from his Fall 2014 collection, drawing on influences from  rock ‘n’ rollers of the late 60’s and early 70’s who infused country and western  tones into their classic rock personas. Mirroring his inspiration, Godfrey is exploring new frontiers as a designer. For the first time, denim is incorporated into signature body conscious silhouettes. Bold graphic prints framed by the neutrality of tea stained ivory lace creates juxtaposition between the raw and the feminine elements throughout the collection. Fringed dresses, cropped tuxedo jackets, bibbed shirting, atypical hemline skirts and ponchos are a nod to the western inspiration, while staying true to Godfrey’s signature New York style.

New York-based designer Jay Godfrey is the founder and creative director behind his eponymous collection of sleek, sexy and sophisticated designs. Perpetually inspired by the chic New York woman, Godfrey’s goal as a designer is to meld the classic tailoring techniques of Savile Row with modern silhouettes and luxurious fabrics. The result is his distinctive contemporary collection of dresses and separates that accentuate the female figure. Godfrey describes himself as a minimalist who embraces color in an unmistakably sensual way. Godfrey realized his dream of becoming a designer while working his first summer job at Hugo Boss. He studied finance at Montreal’s McGill University in order to gain a grounding in business and accounting. Upon graduating, Godfrey headed to Wall Street and worked for Citigroup. While learning the finer points of finance, Jay’s goal of designing a collection led him to Parsons School of Design. An internship with Oscar de la Renta fine-tuned the young designer’s style and technique, and helped him determine the ultimate Jay Godfrey woman. Having only been in business for six years, Godfrey has quickly cultivated his signature aesthetic which perfectly lends itself to the fashion-forward and glamorous woman. The collection has caught the media’s attention and has been featured in WWD, ELLE, Cosmopolitan and the New York Post. Godfrey’s designs have also captured a loyal celebrity following and he is proud to have dressed Eva Longoria, Emma Stone, Jennifer Lopez, Eva Mendes, Angie Harmon, Eve, Leighton Meester, Petra Nemcova, and Sarah Michelle Geller. In 2008, Parsons The New School for Design presented the designer with the Parsons Alumni Achievement Award in recognition of his talent and recent accomplishments; in addition, Godfrey appeared on America’s Next Top Model as a special guest designer, where he had the honor of dressing the contestants for a red carpet event. In 2012, Godfrey, in collaboration with uniform manufacturer, Cintas, redesigned the uniforms for W Hotels worldwide for both male and female staff. In 2013, Cachet Hotel Group retained Godfrey to collaborate on the rebranding and renovation of URBN Hotel, China’s first carbon-neutral multi award-winning hotel in Shanghai as well as to curate a selection of branded retail products such as robes, mattresses, cosmetics, and decorative items. Jay Godfrey’s first free-standing boutique opened in April 2012 in New York’s historic Meatpacking District. Godfrey’s collection is also sold in Bergdorf Goodman, Intermix, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, and Holt Renfrew as well as numerous luxury boutiques worldwide. Godfrey resides in New York City with his wife Dara and two little girls, Allegra and Bardot.

EDDIE BORGO

AFTER YEARS DESIGNING FOR STYLISTS AND DESIGNERS, EDDIE BORGO OFFICIALLY LAUNCHED HIS OWN COLLECTION IN 2008.

PART PUNK, PART SLEEK AND ARCHITECTURAL, THE EDDIE BORGO COLLECTION CENTERS ON A MODERN DEFINITION OF LUXURY.

EDDIE BORGO GREW UP IN THE SOUTHEAST UNITED STATES, WITH STOPS IN WASHINGTON D.C. AND COLUMBUS, BEFORE ARRIVING IN NEW YORK CITY IN 1998. THERE WAS ONE MAINSTAY THROUGHOUT THAT MULTI-CITY CHILDHOOD: CLASSIC ROCK-AND-ROLL, PLAYING THROUGHOUT THE HOUSE. IT SAYS A LOT ABOUT HIS CURRENT COLLECTION, WHICH PULLS INSPIRATION FROM A MYRIAD OF ROCK REFERENCES AND ALWAYS REMAINS, LIKE THE MUSIC OF THE ERA, EQUALLY ON THE EDGE AND YET TIMELESS.

LAUNCHED IN 2008, THE EDDIE BORGO COLLECTION IS A CULMINATION OF BORGO'S YEARS SPENT CRAFTING ONE-OF-A-KIND PIECES FOR STYLISTS SUCH AS TABITHA SIMMONS, CAMILLA NICKERSON AND PATTI WILSON AND COLLABORATING ON COLLECTIONS WITH PHILLIP LIM, JOSEPH ALTUZARRA, PROENZA SCHOULER AND MARCHESA. FOR THE NEW YORK-BASED DESIGNER — WHO WAS NAMED 2010 CFDA/VOGUE FASHION FUND RUNNER-UP AND WON BOTH THE CFDA SWAROVSKI AWARD FOR ACCESSORY DESIGN AND THE TIFFANY & CO. DEVELOPMENT GRANT IN 2011 — IT'S ABOUT MELDING A REFINED FINE-JEWELRY SENSIBILITY WITH A STREET ETHOS.

TODAY, THE COLLECTION HAS EXPANDED TO INCLUDE A COMPREHENSIVE RANGE OF BOTH SEASONAL WOMEN'S AND MEN'S LINES AS WELL AS A PERMANENT CORE OFFERING, AND IS AVAILABLE AT OVER 100 LUXURY STORES WORLDWIDE, FROM BERGDORF GOODMAN IN NEW YORK AND LONDON'S HARRODS TO COLETTE IN PARIS AND HONG KONG'S LANE CRAWFORD. AND BORGO STILL DESIGNS THOSE SPECIAL CUSTOM CREATIONS FOR HIS EDITORS; RECENT ENTRÉES INCLUDE BULLET BOOT STRAPS, TRI-LEVEL JEWELRY BOXES, CUSTOM HEADPIECES AND SCULPTURAL HANDBAGS.

BORGO LIVES AND WORKS IN DOWNTOWN MANHATTAN IN NEW YORK CITY. HIS FAVORITE BAND IS THE ROLLING STONES.
