Sisley et le
jean : une histoire d'amour qui dure depuis plus de quarante ans. Une inspiration
anticonformiste et provocatrice : le total look denim, la dernière tendance de
la saison
Sisley a toujours
Andreas Melbostad took nostalgic ideas of futurism to shape the Diesel Black Gold women’s fall winter 2014 collection. Melded with the realities of space travel, the look this season explores the tension between the past and the future to create a wardrobe built for survival against the elements.

A cosmos shimmering with unknown possibility, travel into space once beckoned the imagination of science and exploration. Astronauts were the pioneers of the next frontier. This romantic and optimistic view of space adventures influenced design and fantasy to create a bold new aesthetic. Nostalgic ideas of futurism shape the Diesel Black Gold women’s fall winter 2014 collection. Melded with the realities of space travel, the look this season explores the tension between the past and the future to create a wardrobe built for survival against the elements. Pieces are engineered to articulate the silhouette. Shapes are defined with texture play of laminated lacquered and metallic surfaces against classic wool felt and flannels, Prince of Wales check, leathers and silks. Iconic elements from an astronaut’s suit are infused into parkas and hooded jackets constructed from leathers and cotton twill with shearling linings. Pants are anatomically cut from leather, flannel and coated cotton with engineered seams to enhance the leg. Bustier and shift mini dresses, tops and pleated skirts feature structured fabric combinations of scuba neoprene, cady and compact jersey. Studded metal discs and zippers embellish designs resemble futuristic armor; their knife pleats giving graphic movement. A twisted georgette and merino knit combo dress skims the body with a diagonal zip and horizontal pleats. Key Diesel Black Gold DNA, denim and leather, are given futuristic treatments of filmy coatings and lacquered finishes. Glistening linear patterns are revealed on jeans. Accessories accompany bold travelers through new frontiers: metal toecap flat boots with front zippers and multiple buckles and sleek metal trimmed pumps are crafted from box calf. Mirrored metal discs are appliqued to structured blackbags that hang from the shoulder. Metal plaque belts anchor the hips.
The palette is contained in monochromatic colors and metallics: black, white, charcoal, silver and gunmetal.

The first Bark summer kids collection is wide
and varied and, like the previous winter collection, it is based on the adult
line.
The Field Jacket is proposed readapting
it to children needs and it is lighter, though it maintains the “BARK Stitch”
for which the Italian brand is reno
wned. As the man jacket, the kid one is
lined with nylon camouflage and it is available in 12 different colours: from
the basic blue, khaki and beige to the brighter yellow, orange or fuchsia.
In the Kids SS 2013 collection we can also find
a new version of the winter montgomery in which the frogs are replaced
with buttons – except for the first one that stays as a detail – and the
proportions are revised so that the traditional model is transformed into a
proper valstar. Also this piece is designed with an inner self-coloured
nylon lining while the exterior is made of linen blend.
The collection comprises also two models of
knit jackets, mono and double-breasted, produced in cotton.
In addition, the kids line takes from the Man
collection two retro inspiration items reinterpreted from a contemporary point
of view: a knit polo that recalls the style of the 50’s and a
reversible K-way in nylon and knitwear.
Last novelty of the collection is the
collaboration with the brand 2Easy Project to create a reversible
quilted knitwear and nylon jacket and gilet. The gilet is extremely practical
since it can be used also as under-jacket pinning it with a guaranteed system.
The collaboration of the two brands will be shown with a pendant and a special
label.
Also for girls,
Bark proposes a summer line that, coming from the Women collection, presents
military inspired models.
The M65 jacket is proposed in two
variants: with ¾ sleeves or sleeveless. Thanks to a new manufacturing, the
article is lighter and it has been enriched with details in sangallo that
render it more feminine. The jacket is produced in cotton and it is proposed in
12 different colours. Also for little girls we find the jeans
jacket, with or without sleeves, and another new entry: the dust coat proposed
in two reversible models. Those pieces are produced in linen blend yarn teamed
with nylon or sangallo. The Girl SS 2013 ends with two models of blazer:
the traditional “chanel” and a three-quarter sleeves version. Both are proposed
in a cotton yarn of 12 different colours that includes traditional classic
tints and very bright nuances.
FRAME was founded in 2012 by a group of friends from London and Venice, California who wanted to create the perfect pair of jeans, by bringing together the quality and heritage of denim manufacturing in Eastern Los Angeles, with the influence of a London style, cut and fit.
The idea originated from Jens Grede and Erik Torstensson, the two London-based, Swedish, serial entrepreneurs behind The Saturday Group, the global fashion marketing company and INDUSTRIE magazine.
“The Saturday Group is involved in so many aspects of the fashion industry today, and having played a part in building brands with our clients. A list that reads like who’s who of fashion, FRAME felt like a logical next step. Our background in the industry and our London heritage, brings a new perspective to the denim business” – say Jens and Erik.
To make FRAME come to life, Jens and Erik enlisted the help of Josh LeVine, who brought in his LA based friends in the denim business. “We’ve been obsessed by denim for the better part of 15 years” – continues Jens and Erik. The idea of FRAME was simple; to make the best looking jeans. “FRAME was created for a confident woman who wears denim to frame her look and compliment her figure. The woman who is always searching for that pair of jeans that had their sense of paired down aesthetics, with an exemplary fit to match. The name FRAME is derived from our physical human form that FRAME is set to“.
The company is based in California, with responsibilities split between the two offices in West Hollywood and Shoreditch. FRAME is produced in Los Angeles, USA by an all star line up. From design, to wash houses and cut & sew, the best people in their field have all come together to make an unrivalled product in quality and price.
FRAME’s collection of skinny tailored jeans in luxurious qualities and true blue denim will launch at Net-A-Porter.com, Fred Segal, Matches, Ikram, Liberty of London and Barneys in November.
“For our first store in Asia, we wanted to bring a piece of Sweden to Tokyo. Within the 260 square meter space we wanted to create a house within the store. The concept was to morph a modern Swedish house within a retail location. For me it becomes an important landmark, to create a little Swedish home on the other side of the world, offering something which is a total Stockholm experience. Acne Studios Aoyama will carry Acne Studios Women’s, Men’s, denim and accessories collections on three floors, with the men’s ready-to-wear, denim and accessories on the basement floor, the women’s ready-to-wear, accessories and shoes on the ground floor and women’s denim on the first floor.”
“If we were to design a modern Stockholm house this would be it. Regarding the store materials, the word collage is very important. For Acne Studios Aoyama we collaged juxtaposing textures and materials such as
pop dyed wood, stone and new age stones such as blue granite hoping to emulate the Swedish summer light. Interior colours range from pale pink, to Yves Klein blue, to grey and black. We also worked with transparent partitions which both reveal and conceal, constrain and liberate – a sort of sexy Swedish thing.”
